At EnteBella Medical clinic, we provide a wide array of therapies, including cosmetic treatments, hormone replacement, stem cell therapy, varicose vein treatment, and platelet-rich plasma therapy. Platelet-rich plasma therapy uses your own platelets from your blood to heal and repair specific areas of your body. This type of treatment helps to accelerate healing and recovery.

What is Platelet-Rich Plasma Therapy (PRP)?

This therapy uses platelet-rich plasma from your own platelets and liquid plasma to help encourage cell multiplication, and restoration of damaged cells throughout the body.  PRP has the ability to enhance your body’s own natural growth factors. This treatment helps your body heal areas that have suffered damage. After an injury, your blood platelets help your blood clot, which also encourages healing mechanisms to release throughout your body.

Platelet-rich plasma therapy is a non-invasive treatment that can be very helpful for recovery from an injury or surgery. Many benefited from this type of therapy after failing to find relief from physical therapy and medication management. Torn rotator cuff, joint injuries, and soft tissue injuries are just a few painful ailments people seek PRP therapy on. These platelets help stimulate stem cells to regenerate in the area they are injected. Because this treatment is so non-invasive therapy there is no downtime and you can continue with your day as usual after treatment.

How Do PRP Treatments Work?

Your blood is withdrawn and platelets are separated from the rest of your blood. The platelet-rich plasma is injected into areas where you have injuries or desire anti-aging effects. This is considered safe and noninvasive. It is an excellent option to consider before moving forward with surgery. The rejection rates are also considerably low as the platelets are derived from your very own body.

Our certified technicians will begin by drawing your blood and putting it into a centrifuge machine. This machine will separate your plasma before it gets injected back into the areas you are experiencing pain or delayed healing. Your doctor may request additional imaging tests to make sure your injection is accurate. It’s not uncommon to experience some soreness at the injection site. This soreness should fade within 3 days or so. Joint injections may take a little longer to recover from. You may develop soreness and swelling for up to 5 days.
