Examination of superficial veins for incompetence
What is a ultrasound scan?
An ultrasound scan is a noninvasive method used to image an internal part of the body. At Ente Bella Medical, we use ultrasound to examine the circulation of the blood vessels in the legs.
Benefits of ultrasound scans
- To rule out DVT (deep venous thromboses)
- To examine superficial veins for incompetence
- To look at arterial flow to rule out blockage/stenosis
What area of the body can be treated?
How to prepare for ultrasound
Drink plenty of water (at least 8 glasses per day) for the week leading up to your appointment.
What happens after your ultrasound?
After your ultrasound is done in our office, one of our providers will meet with you and go over the results. If your ultrasound shows any venous insufficiency, they will discuss all the available treatment options with you.
To schedule your appointment, call us at 480-661-4761 and one of our team members will be happy to set up a day and time that works for your schedule. We have locations in Scottsdale and Peoria to serve you.
